Teri
Weronko, DVM - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Teri grew up on the inner city streets of Brooklyn, New York. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Animal
Science (i.e. Goats and Dairy Cows!) at Cornell University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee.
She is an avid potter and gardener and is always looking for free time to squeeze in more triathlons and stained glass. She currently
works on cats, dogs, and goats, and is the staff Veterinarian at the Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah.

Cheryl Meyers, DVM - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Associate Veterinarian
Cheryl was born and raised in Detroit and Traverse City Michigan. She achieved her Bachelor's Degree at Michigan
State University and went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine there in 1996. Currently, she works as a "relief"
veterinarian in hospitals around the Seattle region. She works Fridays here at Snoqualmie Valley Animal Hospital and happily
helps to fill in when needed elsewhere. She loves her work and owns two cats named Nugget and Shoobie. In her spare time she
enjoys running, hiking, mountaineering, and snowboarding (anything in the great Northwest outdoors).

Eric Greene - Office Management, Dr. Teri's Husband
Eric grew up in Texas but good luck has befallen him as he now lives in the beautiful Northwest.
He has a Masters Degree in Wildlife Science from OSU and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the outdoors with others.
Eric takes care of the nitty-gritty paperwork with the help of Laurie and has done much of the construction around the hospital.
His latest passion is welding and you can often find him in the shop creating his next masterpiece.

Lisa Swain, LVT - Licensed Veterinary Technician
Lisa is a native Washingtonian born in Spokane. She graduated in 1994 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
from Pierce College in Tacoma. Since then she has worked at emergency hospitals and exotic animal clinics and even spent a
summer working in the hospital at the Cincinnati Zoo. She helped Dr. Teri build this practice (literally) back in 2000.
She has many interests, but really loves anything that involves wearing a
costume. She shares her life with 5 cats and one amazing "dingo" named Tabasco.

Celeste Blais-Larsen, LVT - Licensed Veterinary Technician
Celeste grew up in Seattle. She earned her degree as a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Yakima
Valley Community College. She loves to spend time with her 4 dogs, 5 cats, and little herd of goats, ducks, and chickens.
She enjoys agility with her wonderful rescue Kelpie mix Anna, photography, learning Italian, and running.

Laurie Bachtel, LVT - Licensed Veterinary Technician, Office Management
Laurie was born in Ballard and grew up in Maryland. She lived in the Mill Creek area for 30 years
before recently relocating to Issaquah. She lives with her blind pug Belle, 3 cats, small flock of elderly Canaries,
and fish. Laurie enjoys knitting, watching movies, and spending time with her two adult daughters.

Laurel Yruretagoyena - Veterinary Technician Student
Laurel was born in Southern California and grew up in Washington. She is
going through Purdue's online program to get her second Associates Degree as a certified Veterinary
Technician. She has spent most of her childhood doing jumpers and eventing as a competitive junior equestrian.
Now, in her free time, she loves spending time training horses, snowboarding, doing yoga, running, doing agility
with her little rescued "dingo" named Ringo Starr, and hiking.

Marco Lopez - Veterinary Assistant
Marco grew up in Mexico City. He is temporarily working to save for retirement. His wife Clara,
two daughters, and two grand-daughter Leslie and Ashley still reside in Mexico City. Although you don't often see him,
he plays an integral part behind the scenes being an amazing assistant and best friend to all his favorite patients.

Heidi Ensley - Veterinary Assistant
Heidi is a life-long resident of the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley and with her husband she is raising two
wonderful daughters in our community. She has always had a lifelong love affair with animals and enjoys the opportunity here
to learn and care for so many precious pets and meet so many wonderful people. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, arts, and
athletics. However, her true passion lies within her children and animals.

Diane Yruretagoyena - Receptionist
Diane lived most of her life in Southern California until she, her husband Kevin, and Laurel (just two years old)
moved up to Carnation in 1989. She has enjoyed being primarily a "stay-at-home mom" with Laurel (now 21), Katelyn (now 18),
and Dane (now 15). Diane enjoys riding her horse, Badger, doing yoga, gardening, walking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
She owns 1 cat (Tabitha), 1 Dachshund (Scout), and a school of Koi fish.

Mercedes Engbarth - Receptionist
Mercedes was born and raised in California and moved out to the Fall City area when she was ten.
She currently lives in Issaquah with two cats (Buddha and Whiskey), a king snake, a spider, and her two roommates.
She graduated from Mount Si High School in 2002 and from Bellevue Community College in 2008 with an associates
degree in Art and Sciences. Mercedes enjoys movies, reading, yoga, cooking, hiking with her dog Mocha. and
anything out doors (preferably close to a sunny beach).

Rachel Bangs - Kennel Assistant
Rachel Bangs grew up in Fall City and goes to Mt. Si High School. She enjoys working with animals
and has a dog, bird, 2 turtles, a fish, a guinea pig, a ferret, and 3 cats of her own. Her favorite animal is the Red Eyed
Tree Frog. She hopes to continue to work with animals for the rest of her life.
